Randy Alcorn | Why Is It So Hard for the Government to Pull a Plug?

Here is a sad and bewildering commentary that captures in one example the utter inefficiency and sometimes craziness of a government that talks about controlling spending, but never seems to actually do it even when it would appear so easy—as in JUST PULL THE PLUG! Surely there is a better use for that $600,000 of tax money spent on this every day, but remember this is just a taste of what happens on a larger scale and has caused our gargantuan national indebtedness. It reminds me of how impotent our government often is, and is another illustration of why it is foolish to look to it for ultimate solutions to our problems.

The U.S. mint is making coins that no one wants and then just storing it away in warehouses.
